Bad Mood

I've been in such a bad mood lately.

I don't know what it is, but I feel like slapping everyone. It's like everything and everyone irritates me. I'm wondering if it's because I've moved back home and have had my independence taken away. I dunno.

Will be going to Miami again this week. Not sure how I feel about it anymore. At first I was excited, but now I just feel tired. I don't know, last time I went to Miami I just wasn't in the mood to be FABULOUS. I just wanted to lay on the beach all day and be lazy. I'm leaving in a few days and my hair isn't done, my nails aren't done, outfit aren't picked, and I'm not even sure how I'm getting to the airport yet. We'll see, maybe my mood will change.

I've gained too much weight. My problem is that I gain weight in my stomach first. So my belly is looking like I'm a few months pregnant. I need to start working out.

Let me go to sleep.

Converstion with my Uncle

So today I was feeling the effects of my single hood. I'm usually okay and sometimes I forget that I'm single. However today, I found myself talking a little bit more to God and reminding him that I was still here waiting for him to bring my husband.

Well I'm sitting here in the living room talking to my uncle. So the topic of relationships came up, and he asked me about my boyfriend. "What boyfriend?" was my reply since I don't have one. Then he went on to remind me that I'm already 25 years old and that I should soon be getting married.

It wasn't really what I wanted to hear. My parents are also ready for me to get married, but they aren't really pressuring me. They understand the importance of praying and making sure that I enter a union with someone God has approved of. My uncle was telling me that by 27 I need to find someone.

 Whatever.

MATCH!!!!

So Match Day came and went.

It was a very eventful week. Lots of fun activities, free food, free drinks, dancing and good times with my classmates. My parents even came down.

When I made my rank list, I chose the programs according to location. The closer to home, the higher I ranked it. I honestly didn't want to do it that way, but I wanted my parents to be happy and I thought it could help me save money. I was ok with the program I ranked #1. If I had matched there, I know I would have lived at home during residency. Honestly, that wasn't what I wanted. The program I ranked #2 was the program I really wanted to go to. It's only 1hr 45 min from home, so I was still close enough where I could come home on weekends if I was off and still have my independence.

So when my name was called on March 16, to pick up my envelope I assumed I would be getting my #1 choice. Well, I opened up my envelope and I got my #2 choice!!!!! It was really weird. My parents where a bit shocked and probably a little disappointed because they really wanted me to live at home during residency. However, I was happy. God knew what was in my heart. My prayer was always that God choose where he wanted me to be. I was just going to rank them, and let God choose.

I'm really excited.

I'm just happy.

I moved back home now, and I'm just enjoying the time off I have before residency starts in July!!
